From the beginning, God created a world full of beauty, love, and purpose. There was no death, pain, or shame—only wholeness. Humanity enjoyed a perfect relationship with God and with one another.

“God saw all that He had made, and it was very good.” — Genesis 1:31

But we as humans rejected God’s design and chose our own way. That decision—called sin—broke everything. It separated us from God and introduced pain, confusion, and death into our world.

We all feel this brokenness, and we try to escape it through things like success, relationships, substances, or even religion—but none of these can fix the problem.

Even worse, sin doesn’t just break our world—it makes us guilty before our holy God. Because He is just, our sin places us under His judgment and deserving of eternal separation from Him in hell.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23

“The wages of sin is death…” — Romans 6:23

God didn’t leave us stuck in our brokenness. Because He loves us, He sent His Son, Jesus, into our world. Jesus lived a perfect life and willingly died on a cross to pay the penalty for our sin. Three days later, He rose from the dead—proving His power over sin and death.

“But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8

The way back to God isn’t through effort or good behavior. It’s through repentance (turning from our way) and faith (trusting in Jesus). When we surrender to Jesus as Savior and King, we’re forgiven, made new, and restored to live in God's design again.

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9

There are only two places to be:

• In brokenness, trying to fix life on your own
• Or restored to God, walking in His design through Jesus
