- Demonstration of Competence: Create a weekly schedule that includes your regular responsibilities, follow it consistently for one month, and discuss areas of growth with your mentor.
2. Create and Manage a Budget
- Description: Create and maintain a monthly budget by tracking income and expenses, setting savings goals, and applying basic principles of financial stewardship.
- Importance: Wise financial stewardship promotes responsibility, independence, and faithful management of the resources God provides.
- Demonstration of Competence: Present a working budget to your mentor and discuss lessons learned from managing it over a three-month period.
3. Persevere at the Same Job for at Least 200 Hours
- Description: Demonstrate commitment and dependability by working consistently at the same job for at least 200 hours.
- Importance: Faithfulness in the workplace develops character, responsibility, perseverance, and a strong work ethic.
- Demonstration of Competence: Provide documentation verifying completion of at least 200 hours, such as pay stubs, a timesheet, or a letter from your employer.
4. Create a Business That Earns at Least $1,000 in Revenue
- Description: Plan, launch, and operate a small business or service that generates at least $1,000 in revenue.
- Importance: Entrepreneurship develops creativity, initiative, problem-solving, financial stewardship, and perseverance.
- Demonstration of Competence: Present your business plan, revenue summary, and lessons learned to your mentor.
5. First Aid Preparedness
- Description: Successfully complete a First Aid and CPR certification course, gaining the knowledge and skills needed to respond to emergencies. This includes learning basic first aid, CPR, and the proper use of an AED.
